Along with ‘Gone Shootin’‘, 'What’s Next to the Moon’ and ‘Gimme A Bullet’, ‘Down Payment Blues’ really show the genius that Bon Scott was, and puts Powerage into one of the top AC/DC albums, as.

This was the first Bon Scott I took home back in and Bon is at his best, Belting out the Blues and the Rock from the depths of his lungs. Just listen to the last few verses on "Down Payment Blues" and you will know what I mean.

Song information for Down Payment Blues - AC/DC on AllMusic. Arguably the most overlooked masterpiece recorded during Bon Scott's tenure with AC/DC, 's Powerage nevertheless remains a favorite record for both critics and fellow musicians (Keith Richards among them).

This album is also the most personal "Bon Scott" AC/DC album containing to song penned about Bon's sexcapades with "Go Down" & " Whole lotta Rosie". In all of AC/DC's work over the years you would be hard pressed to find a bad album or weak album but you will not find it in the Bon Scott era of AC/DC if you can find it at all!!!/5().

Bon Scott's death came at a worse possible time for AC/DC since the band's last album, "Highway to Hell" was the their first gold-certified album in the U.S. Despite the fact that an obvious chemistry was lost with Bon Scott's death, "Back in Black" is the ultimate example of a band turning a career-threatening negative into an outstanding.
